TChat system is written in JAVA. Tchat has been written to load and run as faster as possible, even using slow internet connections. The client is a Java applet which loads elements (classes, images and sounds) only when needed (at runtime). TChat is compliant with every browser supporting JVM 1.1. TChat client uses only the Java instruction subset which is fully supported by the most common web browsers. |
To install succesfully TChat system on your server you need the following configuration:
- A java enabled server (which is a computer supporting java technology with Java runtime installed), both unix/GNULinux and win32 operating systems are supported (like any other for which a JRE has been released)
- A network connection supporting TCP/IP protocol installed on the server.
- Sun Microsystems Java Virtual Machine (JDK or JRE software) version 1.2 or later installed on your server.
- By the hardware point of view, the system doesn't have particular needs, therefore a minimum amount of volatile memory (at least 256Megs) is strongly reccomended.
|
The good news: TChat is free, enjoy it.
